Own a Home in Troy Michigan and be Entertained!
Posted by Rich Baum on Thursday, December 3rd, 2009 at 12:05pm.I’ve writtena few posts and even created a video about amenities in Troy like churches andschool districts. In this post I thoughtI’d touch on some of the other fun things that Troy has to offer. After all, many of these items really make itworth owning a Troy Michigan home.
SHOPPING
Anyone whohas driven down Troy’s Big Beaver corridor is familiar with the spectacularsight of Somerset Mall. The mallstretches across Big Beaver and is connected by an elevated walkway thatconnects the North and South sections. In addition to its upscale anchor stores (Nieman Markus, Saks, Macy’s,and Nordstrom), Somerset’s smaller stores undoubtedly combine to make up thehighest-end shopping available in Michigan.
RESTAURANTS
If you’relooking for lunch or dinner in the area, you’re not going to have to lookfar. The area includes many casualrestaurants and sports bars such as the new Big Beaver Tavern and Buffalo WildWings. There are also a lot of upscaleestablishments to choose from. TheSomerset Mall area offers J. Alexander and Capital Grille (both in the northsection of the mall), and Ocean Prime, which offers a fantastic patio forsummer dining.
NIGHTLIFE
One ofTroy’s biggest nightlife benefits is that it is in close proximity to Royal Oakand Birmingham, two of Detroit metro area’s biggest nightlife hot-spots. But that doesn’t mean that there is ashortage of things to do at night in Troy. If you’re looking for a hip hangout after work, or later into the night,Kona Grill is often packed with professionals young and old. If you’re in the mood for something moretropical, Bahama Breeze is just down the road, and frequently offers livecarribean music on their enclosed patio area.
